October 29, 2014 – So Many Firsts …

(105)1991Garza Monique .Oyster Creek Park 2815283182October 29, 2014 – First.  Tell us about your first day at something — your first day of school, first day of work, first day living on your own, first day blogging, first day as a parent, whatever.

As parents, we have lots of “firsts”. But one of the more memorable firsts that I have is knowing, really knowing, how much my Mom loved me the first time I held my baby boy. They grow up so fast.

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 27, 2014 – Structure

thHZ3RP26COctober 27, 2014 – The golden hour. 6:00AM: the best hour of the day, or too close to your 3:00AM bedtime?

Structure.  Some people need it, some people don’t.   As much as I try to get some sort of structure in my life, I don’t think I will ever be successful at it.   For the most part, I am like everyone else.   Sleep during the night.  Work during the day.   And whatever falls in between, I deal with.

But when I am working on a project, or there is chaos, I can stay awake for days to finish it, or address the problem.  Eventually I crash and need to sleep, but for the most part, I would rather stay up and do what needs to be done and then rest.

Probably not very healthy, but why lay in bed and try to sleep when I can be productive?   It’s just me.   So I guess it is safe to say that I have no “best hour” of the day.   But I don’t have a “worst hour” of the day either.

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 26, 2014 – Breakdown

reeses-peanut-butter-400x400October 26, 2014 – Breakdown.  Tell us about a habit you’d like to break. Is there any way it can play a positive role in your life?

I used to think I was addicted to chocolate.   But now I realize it is peanut butter.   Either way, I can’t give either up.   I know that both are a bad habit and are not healthy for me.  Well, maybe in moderation it can be healthy, but who believes in moderation?

Chocolate and Peanut Butter are my stress foods anyway.   So, if I gave them up, would it really be creating something positive in my life?   Sure, maybe I would not have the extra calories, but I would not be able to unload the stress.

Give and take …. right?

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 24, 2014 – STOP Talking

thNJYU5HQZOctober 24, 2014 – Express yourself.  Tell us about a time you couldn’t quite get your words or images to express what you wanted to express. What do you think the barrier was? For bonus points, try again.

I have found many, many times when I can’t quite say what I mean to say it is best just to stop talking.   Like many of us bloggers, I express myself better when I write.  But in today’s “written” world, that too can come across the wrong way.      I think that is why I am where I am in life, you know, with  husband who can read my mind.  :-)  It works very well.

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 23, 2014 – Think Positive!

thFHF6K8Z0October 23, 2014 – As seen on T.V.  Write a script for a late-night infomercial — where the product is your blog. How do you market yourself? What qualities do you embody that other “products” don’t? What are the benefits of reading your blog?

Gosh, this is tough.  Because I don’t want to promote my blog.  I write because I want to write.  I am not trying to sell.  I am not trying to get attention.   But if someone were to ready my blog,  I think the most powerful thing  would want them to take away from it is to think positive .. and promote yourself.

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 22, 2014 – Double Edged Sword

thC0SYZWZJOctober 22, 2014 – Sad but true.  Tell us about the harshest, most difficult to hear — but accurate— criticism you’ve ever gotten. Does it still apply?

I have been told on more than one occasion that I have a tongue of a double-edged sword.    And as much as I try not to, sadly, it does still apply I some circumstances.

Words spoken can never be taken back and ring over and over in the ears of others.   Choose them wisely.

Have a blessed day! :-)

Let's see if I can do this ……
