October 23, 2014 – Think Positive!

thFHF6K8Z0October 23, 2014 – As seen on T.V.  Write a script for a late-night infomercial — where the product is your blog. How do you market yourself? What qualities do you embody that other “products” don’t? What are the benefits of reading your blog?

Gosh, this is tough.  Because I don’t want to promote my blog.  I write because I want to write.  I am not trying to sell.  I am not trying to get attention.   But if someone were to ready my blog,  I think the most powerful thing  would want them to take away from it is to think positive .. and promote yourself.

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 22, 2014 – Double Edged Sword

thC0SYZWZJOctober 22, 2014 – Sad but true.  Tell us about the harshest, most difficult to hear — but accurate— criticism you’ve ever gotten. Does it still apply?

I have been told on more than one occasion that I have a tongue of a double-edged sword.    And as much as I try not to, sadly, it does still apply I some circumstances.

Words spoken can never be taken back and ring over and over in the ears of others.   Choose them wisely.

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 21, 2014 – Today is the new First

thOctober 21, 2014 – Blank is the new blank.   Click over to your favorite blog, and pick out the 4th and 14th words (that aren’t “the” or “an”). Drop them into this phrase: “_____ is the new _____.” There’s your post title. Now write!

TODAY is the new FIRST.    Hmmm… that is interesting.    They have a saying that we should live everyday as though it were our last, but what if we lived it as though it were our first?

… The first day we laid eyes on each other.

… The first day we kissed.

… The first day.

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 20, 2014 – No Fear

untitledOctober 20, 2014 – Release me.   Tell us about the blog post you were most nervous to publish— and what it was like to set it free.

I don’t think that I have any fear or anxiety when it comes to my writing.   Or, maybe I have not been so bold as to write about things that would make me nervous to publish?

I know that I must be inspired to write.  I thought that I would enjoy the 365 e-prompts challenge, but have found that it has become more of a chore.   I can’t wait until December 31st!

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 19, 2014 – His Luckiness!

October 19, 2014 – Home sweet home. When you’re away from home, what person, thing, or place do you miss the most?

Okay, I am going to sway away from the obvious.   Of course I miss my husband the most.   And the kids.  And the grandkids.   But I recently came home from a seven day voyage and I missed this little guy:

After a few hours of his demands and stinky kisses I was over it though!  Have a blessed day! :-)

October 16, 2014 – He’s Awesome

October 16, 2014 – Honorific.  October 16th is officially declared “Person X Day” — and you get to pick Person X. Tell us about someone who deserves to be commemorated.

Person X is definitely my husband. We met when we were both 39, the cusp of 40. He has shared so much of his life with me, alot of things he is not proud of. The 8 years we’ve been together he has grown so much as a person and as a man. He helps everyone he can and seeks nothing it return. I’m so proud to call him mine. Athough he hates it when I say I own him … it doesn’t mean it’s not true!

Have a blessed day! :-)

October 15, 2014 – Enjoy It!

October 15, 2014 -Childlike. Explain your biggest regret — as though to a small child.

Looky here baby girl. Grammo didn’t go to college, although I would have excelled had I gone. Life will wait for you. Finish your education. Enjoy it. Have fun. Have no regrets. I’LLC even let you be an Aggie or an Owl if you want to!

Have a blessed day! :-)

Let's see if I can do this ……
