December 30, 2014 – Magically Mystified

December 30, 2014 – I believe in magic.  You have been transformed into a mystical being who has the ability to do magic. Share your new abilities in detail. How will you use your new skills?

I don’t believe in magic. Illusions are a mystery to only those who are not educated on the game.

If magic were real, would we not all live in a fantasy land? A land rid of hatred and jealousy and evil? Hmmm …let me wave my wand!

Have a blessed day! 🙂

December 29, 2014 – Working on a Fat Ass

December 29, 2014 – Brainwave. What’s the best idea you’ve ever had? Regale us with every detail of the idea — the idea itself, where it came to you, and the problem it solved.

I have an idea on how we can prevent the spread of the fat ass for people who sit at a desk all day.

But if I put it in writing before I patented my invention, that wouldn’t be such a smart idea would it? Nice try WordPress.

Have a blessed day! 🙂

December 28, 2014 – Family Values

December 28, 2014 – The new school.  You get to redesign school as we know it from the ground up. Will you do away with reading, writing, and arithmetic? What skills and knowledge will your school focus on imparting to young minds?

The problem with society today is not the lack of knowledge but rather lack of moral values. Most people today could not even tell you the ten commandments so they definitely do not live by them. And everyone carries a false sense of entitlement.

So, while I would not do away with reading, writing and arithmetic, it would not be what I focus on when I teach.

Have a blessed day! 🙂

December 27, 2014 – Money Doesn’t Really Talk – But It Sure Makes Us Listen

December 27, 2014 – You’re a winner.  You’ve just won $1 billion dollars in the local lottery. You do not have to pay tax on your winnings. How will you spend the money?

I like money. But I don’t love it. Money is the root of all evil, or atleast the love of it is.

After taking care of my family, I would open a shelter for unwanted animals.

Then, I would bank the rest to live happily ever after.

Does that sound selfish? That, unfortunately, is society today.

Have a blessed day! 🙂

December 26, 2014 – My Way

untitledDecember 26, 2014 – Moment of clarity. Tell us about a time you’d been trying to solve a knotty problem — maybe it was an interpersonal problem, a life problem, a big ol’ problem — and you had a moment of clarity when the solution appeared to you, as though you were struck by lightening.

This was not an epiphany – but the day a accepted the fact that not everyone will do things my way – they much better off all of us were!

Have a blessed day! 🙂

December 24, 2014 – Winning!

untitledDecember 24, 2014 – The best day ever. You get to enjoy the best day ever — describe in detail what that means to you. Where are you? What will you do? What’s the weather like? What will you eat? Who will you see?

In Vegas.  Winning at the slots.   Mid 80’s.  Sushi with a fork.  My Mom.   – OK, well it all could happen except seeing my Mom!   And perhaps winning at the slots.   But I could definitely be in Vegas in the mid 80’s eating Sushi with a fork.

Have a blessed day! 🙂

December 23, 2014 – Living With Guilt

imagesWG70SOZ1December 23, 2014 – The guilt that haunts me. Share a time when you were overcome with guilt. What were the circumstances? How did you overcome you guilt?

It is not that people forget the third part, it is just that sometimes they don’t know what to do to make it right.    I live with the guilt of drinking in front of my boys as they were growing up.   Now they both drink excessively.  I could blame my parents for doing the same with me,  but that won’t help.    I am sorry.  And I know its  my fault.   But I really do not know what I can do to make it right.

Have a blessed day! 🙂

Let's see if I can do this ……
